The hotel offers a good location for exploring the area and has a welcoming atmosphere. my room was quite small, and the breakfast quality varied during my stay. While the staff were friendly and attentive, better soundproofing would enhance the experience.

The twin room had a private bathroom with a strong shower and quality toiletries. Amenities included a flat-screen TV, kettle, and free Wi-Fi. The breakfast offered a good selection, including well-done bacon. The location was perfect for walking into the city center, and check-in was quick. Free parking was a major bonus.

The gardens and flower planters were simply delightful, adding a charming touch to our stay. The proximity to the town center made it easy for us to explore, and the warm ambiance throughout felt very inviting....

I spent three nights in a cozy single room, where the quiet surroundings created a peaceful escape. The staff went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. Enjoyed a delightful meal at the restaurant—don't miss the evening specials!

It was a well-suited match for a weekend in Durham with fantastic value for money. The manager was helpful and made us bacon butties to go when we missed our cooked breakfast. Check if the chef is in before hoping for a meal at breakfast.

Charming Stay with Exceptional Dining Experience

My solo stay exceeded expectations! I loved the cozy atmosphere, especially dining at the pub where the staff greeted everyone warmly. The modern shower was refreshing after a day exploring the nearby city center. Best tip, enjoy the floral beer garden for a relaxing drink!

We really enjoyed our stay, especially the cozy bar and the delicious food — the portions were generous! The only downside was the room needed a little more attention.

I truly enjoyed relaxing on the lovely terrace and taking in the beautiful garden views during my two-night stay. There were plenty of cozy corners to unwind, making it a great spot to catch up with a good book. The only downside was that the shower pressure could have been better, but it didn't ruin my experience at all! 😊

Immediate need for improved sound insulation!!! Garden bench right outside rooms creates unwelcome noise and invasion of privacy!!! A touch of TLC for bathroom updates could greatly enhance comfort!!!

Positive highlights include the tasty food and friendly staff, while a drawback was the absence of a walk-in shower in the adapted room, which raises safety concerns for those unsteady on their feet.

This place suits me perfectly, offering great wi-fi, a warm lounge area, and friendly staff. On my first stay, they even helped me with a charger! I’ll be back for Easter.
